the KO on MMA

UFC has some big bouts coming up Lightweight and Light Heavy weight titles along with the Spider returng to the LHW division.

Lyoto Machida is the most elusive fighter in MMA right now. He avoids damage throws combos and gets outta trouble. You cant take him down yet he will take you down. He is the cream of the crop and want to see him vs Rampage even though Rampage will get knocked out

BJ Penn had a very bad lose to GSP but I believe he will bouce back and beat Kenny Florian. Penn is stronger and I think has better BJJ.

Speaking of GSP I thought Thiago Alves would KO him but Georges is in the Silva, Machida, and Lesnar category. I dont see them losing. Though I do see Alves getting a rematch next year and Anthony Rumble Johnson getting a title shot at the end of the year or early next year. He is a wrestling and has scary standup should be a fun fight

Now one of my favorite fights of the year is coming up when Forrest Griffin takes on Anderson the Spider Silva. Forrest has that brawler mentality and the heart like no other but he has gotten smarter as a fighter and I think he has a shot at beating Silva. Griffin can take an ass whoopin and like Anderson Silva is huge. This is going to be an absolute slug fest. I think Griffin loses by split decision even though im puliing for him. I think he can very well press the fight and deliver damage and as long as he doesnt slip up can out point the Spider

Now as far as Silva goes he says he wont fight Machida cuz they are friends but these too are on a path to do so. Also GSP vs Silva is another fight on the Horizon if he beats both he is the best fighter in the history of MMA

  1. why is lesnar in the silva machida lesnar category he's only winning b/c he's the only legit heavy in a weak division

lesnar beat a champ who was 45 years old. Couture even nearly out wrestled him with a 45 pound wieght difference. 16 of the 24 fighters weigh in at 240 or less and Denis Stonic (at 5'11 235) is in the division.

  2. thats a good point but heath herring, coutore, and mir he absolutely destroyed. Im not saying pound for pound its just the division no one can stop him

  3. that division doesnt get the respect it deserves too. Velasquez, Kongo, Carwin, Gonzaga, Cro Cop, Mir, Noguiera, De Los Santos, Pat Barry, Hardonk, Everybody says that Coutore out wrestled him. Watch that fight again Brock took him down at will Randy rolled almost on top but Vrock stood up. Then the cage grabbing that people say came after coutore failed to pick him up. Lesnar pummeled him, and Mir and who ever is next

  4. the truth is there are no real proven contenders in the UFC except guys who're out of their prime. Fighters like Alistair Overeem, Josh Barnett, Brett Rogers, Gilbert Yvel could all give Brock some serious problems and most of those fighters have fought bigger, stronger opponents. The idea that Brock is the biggest strongest guy to ever fight is horse shit and its something the UFC uses to grab ahold of fans, but the truth is there are fighters out there bigger and stronger. Not saying those I listed are either one, just making that point. I truly think Gegard Mousasi could beat either Frank Mir OR Brock Lesnar.

  6. I've got to say; fuck your post count; "De Los Santos" aka Dos Santos is the best prospect in the heavyweight division right now and seems to be a hell of a smart fighter with a really patient but violent game plan. He trains out of Nogueira's camp so he's had experience with Shogun and with Anderson so the guy's been in there with top competition and that's why he's not having trouble going through middlegrounds. I would keep a serious eye on this guy and see where he goes, I think that the winner of Carwin and Velasquez will not fight for the title because the contention will be too open at that point. There's a small possibility of Randy getting another shot if he beats Nogueira in some insane fashion but it'd have to be a fucking flying armbar. Let's watch Junior Dos Santos, Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez and see where they go. I'll put Dos Santos in the #1 seat man if Werdum beat him he was gauranteed a title shot and he knocked Werdum all the way to affliction.

  7. i think that silva's pin point striking and overall athleticism better standup in general will get the better of forrest dont get me wrong forrest is a hell of a kickboxer with tons of heart, i cant see forrest outworking silva in any position, i think silva is going to give weird angles for forrest and i dont think hes going to be able to handle it. i predict KO second round or towards the end of the first.

Bj penn needs to stay at 155 hes obviously looks way better as a lightweight, hes at the top of his division, so he should reign for as long as he can, if he gets through florian, whos next diego sanchez? thats interesting if Florian wins because i definately think they would set up Florian vs Sanchez 2 seeing how they are both completely different fighters since the first time they fought. ITs going to be a technical matchup wherever the fight goes, i give a slight edge to bj, even though i think florian could pull a decision if he keeps it on his feet and work different angles and lands his shots.. but i also feel as though bj could win at any point in the fight just based on his skillset and talent.

The welterweight divsion is goign to get real interesting within the year, i think anthony will have to get through a few more people to get that title shot, but who is really next in line for gsp? besides anthony johnson i guess mike swick, then who's after him? its either martin kampmann or anthony johnson.

if silva is serious of what he said i dont see him fighting machida after the gsp fight i think he has 1 more fight left on his contract and he said he will retire, so i think machida could very well, i mean it makes sense i would want to watch it but it would be a glorified sparring match in my opinion. I dont think it will happen unless silva changes his mind and decides to go for the lightheavyweight title.

  9. i would like to think velasquez could beat lesnar but i cant see it happening unless he nails him with a good shot, one punch is all it takes, but i cant see him outwrestling lesnar, im not sure if velasquez has an active enough guard to submit him, those big fucking lunchboxes that lesnar has will hurt you, Carwin on the other hand has a better chance, hes just as big a little shorter then brock, good wrestling abilities, smarter fighter then brock in my opinion and more well rounded, and has just as deadly ko power... dos santos i feel could do the job, i think he could knockout lesnar is a fashionable style, or lesnar could very well do the same.. lesnars size and strength is an obstacle for any opponent. But thats where Carwin comes in and poses the same problem for lesnar.

  10. Cain Velasquez cant beat Lesnar nor will he beat Shane Carwin. Carwin has the weight but way less superior wrestling abilities but as of now is the best contender. The most comprobable skills are Velasquez who wsa a great NCAA wrestling at Arizona State. There isnt any competition in the UFC Heavy weight Divsion for Brock but Brock is the biggest strongest fighter in the UFC right now. If you disagree tell me who. Barnett is a steroided up joke who is not fighting Fedor anymore, Yvel is too much of a nut case. And as far as Brocks next opponent it wont be Coutore because he said he wants to drop to 205 (Scared of Brock bitch lol eat shit kinney)

A lot of ppl never thought GSP-Silva would happen but it looks to be heading that way. But Machida and Silva are the guys right now and I would like to see that happen.

I think it will be Penn-Sanchez next in light weight
